The Trouble with T.I.P.P.

The Trouble with TIPP

This documentary  and film essay directed by Stephen Morris in 2014, focus on The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP),  a proposed free trade agreement between the European Union and the United States, with the aim of promoting multilateral economic growth. The negotiations are not transparent nor open to public scrutiny. Big international corporations lobby the secret negotiations to gain advantageous conditions for their trade and taxation. The TTIP agreement often disregards local policies and legislations in favour of international trade.

Sands Films Cinema is hosting a debate about the subject with LINDA KAUCHER who will introduce the film. She has studied the subject for 15 years and speaks in the film. There will be a  Q&A time and general discussion taking place after the film under the title TIPP, what should I care?
