Climb into and get lost inside the eccentric world of Moominland this winter as we explore the internationally renowned Moomin stories through the life of its author, Tove Jansson.
Created in Finland, the Moomin stories are set in the fictional land of Moominvalley and centre around several oddly-shaped characters, including Moominpappa, Moominmamma, little Moomintroll and their friends.
Join us on an enthralling journey through our wondrous Moominland – clamber through forests, huddle in caves or set sail on the high seas to try and find the Moomin family. Along the way you can learn how Tove Jansson created these unique landscapes, characters and stories, while uncovering some special original drawings.

Access
Please note: this exhibition is accessible to wheelchair users, however some passages are narrow and wheelchairs must be less than 80cm wide to pass through. It is strongly recommended that you attend the exhibition with a companion who can assist you around the exhibition. If you require assistance, please email beforehand at accesslist@southbankcentre.co.uk

Suitable for ages 7+ due to the nature of the exhibition environment.
Event information
This is a guided, group experience and there must be a minimum of one adult for every three children. Buggies are not permitted inside the exhibition.
Tours leave on time and latecomers cannot be admitted.
Ticketing
You can only enter the exhibition at the specific time marked on your ticket.
Supporter tickets are 10% more than the standard admission charge and can be treated as donations to Southbank Centre. If you are a UK taxpayer you can Gift Aid all your donation to Southbank Centre by completing/making a Gift Aid declaration. If you buy a concession ticket because you are a full time student or you are in receipt of state benefits, you should not make a Gift Aid declaration if you don’t pay tax on your income.
