Enjoy learning make-up tips and tricks this half term with Anna Sui Cosmetics. Whether you identify with fairy tale romanticism or Victoriana style, or if you aspire to punk or rock star chic, this make-up masterclass will highlight how to get the Anna Sui look.

Join leading make-up artist Jo Martin as she talks through the latest trends from the fashion week catwalks, followed by a demonstration of new products and how to apply them. Anna Sui Cosmetics represent no rules or boundaries in make-up. Started in 1998, the brand soon gained a cult-status following globally. With innovative formulas and packaging that is truly one of a kind, the hip and edgy makeup items have become collectors’ items for some.

There are three time slots for the demonstrations, which last around 30 minutes and include make-up looks for daytime, evening and glamorous catwalk looks. Ticket includes admission to The World of Anna Sui exhibition, and guests are welcome to view this before or after the event.

Jo Martin has worked as a professional make-up artist for over 15 years, and has been working with the Anna Sui brand since it launched in the UK. She is responsible for developing new palettes for the brand, and has developed a special exhibition range, available exclusively at the Museum, to tie-in with current trends.

About the Fashion & Textile Museum Collection

Fashion and Textile Museum

The Fashion and Textile Museum Collection highlights the changing face of contemporary fashion from 1947 to the present day. All items in the Collection relate to the design and production of fashion, textiles and jewellery, with a number of key garments from designers including Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Biba, Mary Quant and Vivienne Westwood.

The Collection features regularly in the Museum’s programme of exhibitions and items are also shown in practical workshops and history of fashion lectures. The Museum is also willing to lend to other galleries and institutions. The Collection provides an invaluable resource for students of fashion, textiles and tailoring, as well as cultural history, and it is possible for researchers to conduct private study of items in the Collection by making an appointment.

The Museum can also provide information on and access to the Zandra Rhodes Collection, which is an outstanding resource containing 40 years of work including samples, paper patterns, textiles and ephemera.
