Cardboard Citizens presents META

 Meta By Sarah Woods

Meta By Sarah Woods Meta is the story of young people, their lives and their brains.

A story by Sarah Woods. Meta is the story of young people, their lives and their brains.

Science and art collide in this funny, powerful Forum Theatre show developed with students from the borough of Tower Hamlets. Neuroscientific findings are shared through physical theatre, video projection and sound design giving an insight into what happens to our brain (and the rest of us) as we grow up.

The show will be performed by young people from Cardboard Citizens Act Now programme, which offers creative experiences to those not in education, employment or training or who have experienced homelessness.

Sarah Woods is a playwright and activist whose work focuses on choice and change in the face of current global challenges. She regularly works with Cardboard Citizens, most recently with Benefit which enjoyed an acclaimed run at Canada Water Culture Space.

Cardboard Citizens has been making transformative work in theatres, hostels, day centres and prisons for nearly 25 years.

‘Cardboard Citizens is a theatre company that must surely rank as being amongst the most genuinely life-changing in the UK.’ What’s On Stage
