Travel to South east Asia by public transport in London to the Indonesian Weekend 2017 at Potters Fields. A weekend-long festival of Indonesian food, culture and fashion, promoting travel to Indonesia by showcasing the best that Indonesia has to offer. Tower Bridge will be the perfect background for two days of dance, martial arts, music and street food.

Indonesia, a Southeast Asian nation made up of thousands of volcanic islands, is home to hundreds of ethnic groups speaking many different languages. It’s known for beaches, volcanoes, Komodo dragons and jungles sheltering elephants, orangutans and tigers. On the island of Java lies Indonesia’s vibrant, sprawling capital, Jakarta, and the city of Yogyakarta, known for gamelan music and traditional puppetry.

The festival is held at Potters Fields, which is located by the river path a few minutes walk from London Bridge station and Tower Hill station on the north of the river.

About Potters Fields

Potters Fields Park lies at the very heart of London, on the southern side of the Thames. It has sweeping views of the river, and iconic sights of Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, the ‘Gherkin’, the glass dome of CityHall and HMS Belfast. The grassy mounds & riverside walks of Potters Fields Park are also one of the few remaining green open spaces along the riverside.   @PottersFieldsPa   PottersFields   pottersfieldspark
