Brooke Sharkey

The Musician

Singer-songwriter Brooke Sharkey has learnt her trade and honed her talent on the road and sings with a captivating lyricism. Her unique style has her switching seamlessly between English and French. Brooke has left many an audience smitten by her intense and expressive songs. Chansons, blues, folk and Latin music all provide a backdrop.
‘Brooke has an incredible voice, amazing control and grace’ as described by The Observer, or as Folk Radio put it: ‘Irresistible music’ with ‘ a vocal performance that seems to switch effortlessly between lithely melodic and fiery; and song writing that combines haunting poetic imagery with an impressive fusion of styles.’

The Music

Brooke has released 2 EPs and a debut album ‘One Dress’ which came out in December 2012, recorded at Livingston studios in London. A very recent and very successful crowdfunding campaign puts her in good stead to release another album in the near future.

Brooke and her band have toured many times around the UK, France and Italy playing living room shows, music venues and festivals. She has also toured in Belgium, Germany and Holland.
