National Poetry Day Canada Water Library events

National Poetry Day 2018 will take place on Thursday 4 October 2018 and the theme is Change. Expect an explosion of activity nationwide, thousands of amazing events across the UK – in schools, libraries, bookshops and hospitals, on buses, trains and boats – all celebrating poetry’s power to bring people together. Bardic Walk – 1pm to 3.30pm

Starting on the ground floor of  Canada Water library and venturing out to the docks and beyond, this new walk aims to bring the history of the area to life with some carefully chosen open air poetry readings.

Please come prepared for the weather on the day and in suitable footwear for an outdoor walk.

Indoor Readings – 6pm to 8pm

Don’t fancy the stroll? Drop in later in the evening and choose a book from our selec on to receive your own personal poetry reading.
