Storyline
On the 14th of March 2018 the Brazilian politician and activist Marielle Franco was shot by an invisible assassin. If the killers wanted to silence Marielle they got it wrong: the rage and grief that followed her death was global and triggered a series of investigations that began to shed light on the rule of Rio’s paramilitary militias and their links to the security forces. On the anniversary of her death People & Power travels to Rio to find out if Brazil’s new right-wing government is serious about finding her killer, and more importantly the person who ordered her killing.
