Canada Water Theatre presents Legacy and Hope

Come and join Pegasus Opera Company for the Legacy and Hope concert, featuring Britain’s leading Black and Ethnic Minority (BAME) classical singers performing songs of black composers, gospel, spirituals, opera, musical theatre and songs inspired by the black diaspora.

London is the cornerstone of British diversity and this celebration event showcases the most tremendous BAME talent britain has to offer!



For more than 25 years Pegasus Opera Company has fearlessly paved the way for BAME talent in Opera and Theatre. Through harmony in diversity, which is at the centre of everything they do, they support artists from culturally diverse backgrounds to hone their skills and thrive in the great capital and beyond.

Pegasus strives to empower those who are continually marginalised and aims to be as diverse, inclusive and accessible as possible by championing the best of Black opera.

Canada Water Theatre and Library

Canada Water Culture Space manage an intimate 150 seat theatre showcasing the best in new work, comedy, contemporary theatre, dance and music. Located on the ground floor of the Canada Water Library, the Canada Water Theatre is programmed by the Albany in partnership with Southwark Council.

Coming to see a show? We have a range of snacks, wine, beers and other drinks to accompany your evening’s entertainment, pre and post show. Evening opening is line with our performance and events schedule.
