Are you a budding pumpkin carving artist? Or maybe you’d like to have a go for the very first time. Whatever your age or level come and enter the Creative Pumpkin Carving Competition at the Community Stall in the Blue Market this week.

How do I enter?

  1. Come pick your pumpkin from the special Community Pumpkin Stall in The Blue Market.
  2. Next, take it home and carve your masterpiece!
  3. Finally, take a photo and post it on Twitter using #bluebermondsey or post on the Blue Bermondsey Facebook page and tag your photo with @thebluebermondsey

The best entries received by 12 noon on Tuesday 31 October will win a mystery prize. All under 12’s entering will also receive a small prize.

We are pleased to collaborate with Mick, one of the traders at the Blue Market. All the amazing pumpkins are provided by Mick’s Fruit and Veg Stall so you can have the best for your creative piece. Mick has been trading at the Blue for 30 years and always has a fantastic spread, including seasonal and local produce and

Pop Up Market Project

The Pumpkin Stall will be part of a new “pop up community project” at the Blue Market. This is a non-for-profit enterprise run by a local resident who loves the Blue Bermondsey area and wants to create something special in the market.

The Pop Up Stall will be selling unique products including gifts, traditional wooden toys, books, crafts and brilliant Bermondsey souvenirs. All profits from these stalls will be reinvested in the local community.

Location

Pumpkin Stall and Pop Up Market project will be at the Blue Market SE16 3UQ. You can reach it by bus (1, 381 and P12 all have stops in Southwark Park Rd. Bermondsey underground station and South Bermondsey Train station are only a short walk
