Nasty Women : Architecture Call for Artists at Anise Gallery

Nasty Women, Architecture for artists. Anise GalleryNasty Women : Architecture Call for Artists

Anise Gallery are delighted to be joining the global Nasty Women art movement for its next exhibition. Set up by female artists in New York last year, the name was derived from a comment Donald Trump made to Hilary Clinton. The movement has since organised a number of exhibitions and events with the aim of raising awareness of women’s rights and raising funds for women charities around the world. Our Nasty Women Architecture exhibition is being co-curated by Aesthetica Art Prize Winner and V&A digital resident Rachel Ara and Candid Arts magazine writer Issey Scott. With an all female exhibition featuring innovative artists we are hoping to raise funds for South London Rape Crisis.

In keeping with Anise Gallery’s established ethos of curating and promoting architectural art work, we are now looking for submissions from female artists for Nasty Women : Architecture. The term ‘architectural’ can be interpreted as you wish, all we ask is that the work can be connected back to architecture/ geometry/ the urban environment/ infrastructure / the urban landscape etc in some way shape or form. We will accept submissions from all media but are particularly interested in wall based works that have the potential to raise money for the charity.

[alert color=”grey”]Please email jpeg submissions to issey@anisegallery.co.uk with an email cover letter specifying size, medium and price of the work alongside a  brief explanation by Monday 16 October.

The work will need to be delivered to the gallery by Friday 20th October so please only submit work if you are able to do this.

The exhibition will run from 26 October – 18 November.[/alert]
