Southwark Libraries Winter Book Challenge

Winter book challenge

The Southwark Winter Book Challenge runs from 3 January to 19 March 2017. It’s a great chance for children and young people to try new books and challenge themselves to read more.

There are three age categories, and you can register in any Southwark Library to take part. Any book borrowed and read in that time will count towards the challenge, but the libraries also have some seasonal recommendations for ages 5 to 17.

Children and young people aged 5 to 17 who complete the challenge will be entered into a prize draw. To be eligible for the challenge prizes you must:

  • Be a member of a Southwark Library
  • Make sure that all books read during the challenge are borrowed from a Southwark Library
  • Register to take part in the challenge
  • Read five or ten books (depending on your age) of your choice by 19 March 2017

Not a member of Southwark Libraries? It’s free to join and to borrow books! Find details here
