Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, non-essential shops now open

Surrey Quays welcome visitors back to their non-essential shops following Step 2 of the government’s roadmap out of lockdown during April 2021

Since Monday 12th April, non-essential stores such as New Look, Clarks and Body Shop are open once again, while restaurants and cafes such as Banh Mi Bay, Frankie & Benny’s and Pizza1889 are also offering a takeaway service for shoppers to enjoy at home.

Open for business

Surrey Quay stores are now open and are looking forward to welcoming you back. While the cafes and restaurants in the shopping centre remain closed indoors, some are offering outdoor dining, click-and-collect, takeaway or delivery options.

Keep left

To help keep everybody safe, the centre will continue to have its one way ‘keep left’ system, hand sanitising stations and enhanced cleaning regimes in place.

Face covering

All visitors must wear a face covering unless exempt for medical reasons, and visitor numbers will be carefully managed by the centre team to make sure everyone can maintain social distancing.

Red & Green Indicators

Red and green indicators will be used on some store fronts to show if it is safe to enter or not dependent on capacity, visitors may be asked to queue considerately in a designated area outside if stores become particularly busy.

Ian Moore, centre manager at Surrey Quays

“We know many of our customers are very excited about the reopening, and we are equally as excited to welcome them back. It’s also a massive milestone for our retailers, and we’re looking forward to them opening their doors once again.

It’s of course really important that we all continue to work together to help keep everybody safe. Everyone visiting us in the coming weeks can expect to see all of our extra safety measures still in place, and our team will be on the ground helping to remind customers of the Government guidance.”

Sanitising stations are located across Surrey Quays shopping centre

Opening times and policies of individual retailers may vary, so it is always recommended that you check with them directly before setting off. More information can be found on its website
