Foster a child in Southwark; virtual information evening

This is an opportunity to support those more vulnerable on our society by providing shelter and support. If you have a spare room and have a flexible job, and if you’re energetic and a good listener, you could consider becoming a foster carer. You can also register for a virtual information evening on 16 September at 6pm by emailing fostering@southwark.gov.uk.

Fostering

Foster carers look after somebody else’s child in their own home when the child is unable to live with their birth family. It can be for a short time or a number of years. Foster carers provide a loving, caring environment that every child needs.
