Surrey Quays extents support to local charities with its giant giving box
Surrey Quays has announced that its popular giant giving box, originally installed for Christmas, will now be a permanent feature at the centre in a bid to help raise even more funds for its charity partners, Surrey Docks Farm, Southwark Young Carers (Imago), The Mayor of Southwark’s Common Good Trust and Time & Talents
Located on the Ground Floor outside Poundland, visitors can use contactless payment to easily donate £1, £3 or £5 to the charities.
The giving box at Surrey Quays has helped to raise £1,629 so far as of April 2021
Our community really got behind the giving box at Christmas, and so we’re thrilled to announce that shoppers are able to continue supporting our four charity partners, Surrey Docks Farm, Southwark Young Carers (Imago), The Mayor of Southwark’s Common Good Trust and Time & Talents quickly and safely when they come to visit.
Donations are vital in ensuring the teams at our chosen charities continue the work they do in the local area, and so we’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our visitors for their support.Ian Moore, centre manager at Surrey Quays
