The Fabulous Honeys playing at Southwark Park

The Fabulous Honeys playing at Southwark Park

The Friends of Southwark presents Everything’s Swingin’ Baby, a Sunday afternoon full of wing music with glitz, glamour and style.

The Fabulous Honeys: The Music

An eighteen-piece big band, playing classic tunes from the swing era and arrangements of more contemporary tunes with a repertoire that includes songs made famous by the giants of jazz; including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Louis Armstrong.

Swing music is great to dance to, and we frequently fill the floor at our gigs. We typically offer a balanced set, mixing in a few slower tunes to give the dancers a rest between songs. We also offer some funk and blues, to spice things up a little.

The Fabulous Honeys: The Players

They are an amateur band based in South London and the players have plenty of experience performing, and a love of swing music. The Fabulous Honeys is different from all other bands. If you want to be involved then join at the start before all the places are taken
