World Book Day 2019 activities in Canada Water Library

To celebrate World Book Day 2019, Canada Water Library is hosting a series of events on Thursday 7th March

In addition to the activities below, you can take part in the 2,000,000 minutes challenge to encourage children and young people to read; starts on 7th March until 2nd April 2019.



World Book Day Babies and Toddlers | 11am-11.45am

Fun World Book Day themed stories and rhymes for ages 0 to 4

Design a cover for your favourite book | 3.30-5pm

Have you ever wanted to make a better cover for your favourite Book? Now it’s your chance! For ages 6 to 10 years

Graphic Novel Show and Tell |6pm to 7.30pm

Come along and bring your favourite graphic novel, so you can discuss great stories with the Canada Water Library comic loving staff

Bedtime Stories | 5pm to 6pm and 6pm to 7pm

Storytime session for parents and children. have your funny bones tickled and hear funny stories. Come dressed for bed and bring your favourite cuddly toy. For ages 5+



Culture Café

Enjoy a warm welcome in the family-friendly Culture Café, overlooking the water. Indulge in a tempting toastie, a freshly prepared salad, or a great coffee or tea made to your liking with a delicious cake.

Canada Water Library and Culture Space is situated directly above Canada Water station (Jubilee line and London overground). Exit the station towards Surrey Quays Shopping Centre.
